PR Account Executive

PR Account Executive CHAN & ASSOCIATES, INC., a Public Relations Firm located in Fullerton, California, seeks a dynamic full-time PR Account Executive with great interpersonal skills and writing ability. Our firm provides public relations services to a wide range of companies, ranging from the Global Fortune 1000 to VC funded startups in the rich media and high technology markets. Responsibilities: The candidate will be responsible for developing pitches and negotiating editorial and speaking opportunities for our clients. In addtion, the candidate will be writing, editing, proofing and distributing press releases, as well as other applicable marterials. The candidate will also develop and maintain press/analyst list contacts and assist with marketing communications projects for various clients. There will be light travel in support of our clients at trade shows and press tours around the country. Qualifications: * B.S. or B.A. in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing (or Technology related field)* 1-3 years plus experience in Public Relations or related field* Experience in High-Tech or Entertainment industries is preferred* Excellent communications and writing skills* Good at balancing multiple clients and follow-through on project details* Excellent organizational and time management skills* Ability to work independently as well as with others* Ability to help develop and execute winning strategies and campaigns* Experience in working with the press and analyst communities is preferrablePosition: * Full-time exempt position; paid vacation and sick leave* Medical and dental benefits* Compensation: Salary plus bonus; great growth potential
