RESPONSIBILITIES: Payroll duties:• Maintain Company's payroll software package, ADP PayExpert • Maintain hourly time management software package, ezLabor • Ensure accuracy of payroll changes and employee info including merit increases, absences, bonuses, deductions, payroll taxes, etc. • Ensure payroll compensation complies with company policy • Process semi-monthly payroll. Prepare manual checks when needed.• Verify availability of benefits for time-off requests • Research and resolve any payroll discrepancies and communicate to employee/manager • Prepare payroll reports.General Accounting duties:• Reconcile general ledger accounts • Prepare journal entries • Assist with monthly close and annual audits• Assist with AR and AP as needed • Additional responsibilities and projects as requestedQUALIFICATIONS:• 1 - 2 years related experience using ADP payroll software or equivalent for 50+ employees. ADP PayExpert experience helpful.• 2+ years general bookkeeping experience. Working knowledge of GAAP.• Experience with QuickBooks or equivalent accounting software packages.• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel as well as proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.• Highly organized with a commitment to consistent attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and keeping confidentiality.• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization with a positive attitude.• Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
